What We Do

For the Love was created to eliminate inequity for and advance the health of birthing persons and their children.

We provide monetary and practical support to community individuals and organizations seeking to improve the health of mothers and babies.

  • To promote the health and safety of all birthing persons by increasing access to care and provision of the tools required for such purpose;

  • To provide for unmet needs related to infant feeding;

  • To provide education and support for the promotion of health and safety and infants in the first months of life;

  • To improve access to human milk for all infants;

  • To engage communities and center programs on those historically underserved by the healthcare system.

We believe that health care is a human right, and the health concerns of women have been underrepresented, undervalued, and understudied for far too long

We believe women should have access to professional support during pregnancy, birthing, and at least through the 'fourth' trimester.

The traditionally undervalued work of women should be compensated monetarily.  This work is important to the long-term health of women and their children and provides a generous return on modest investment for our communities.

We believe that food is essential to health, and that birthing persons should be provided with easy access to fresh groceries, prepared foods, as well as the best milk that suits their infants' and families' needs.
